Noteworthy New Release: GOT BAG

The world’s oceans are filled with thousands of tons of plastic. And more is dumped into the oceans each year. A problem on multiple levels that blocks up waterways and harms marine life including seabirds and fish that consume the plastic. And by association, that plastic can end up in our food too. So Benny Mandos and Roman Ruster decided to do something about this. Passionate about surfing, sailing and protecting our oceans, they created a product that helps reduce the amount of ocean pollution while serving as a practical item for everyday or travel carry.

From pollution to practical carry

When you’ve got a big dream, working with others can help you reach it. And that’s what the founders of GOT BAG did, partnering with SEAQUAL to benefit from a network of fishermen extracting plastic from the oceans. The fishermen collect the plastic in their nets and it is subsequently transformed into high-quality yarn which is used to produce the textiles in the GOT BAG. Each backpack represents 3.5 kg of plastic removed from our oceans. In addition to 100% recycled marine plastic in the fabrics, the backpack also has an eco-friendly bio-PU coating made from biodegradable ingredients. The GOT BAG features quality YKK zippers and a reinforced, padded underbody for long-lasting durability.
