Expansive volume

Just like pythons have the ability to consume very large prey for their size, this pack can swallow a deceptively large amount. How does it do it? Through expansion. Now expansion isn’t new in packs, but the PYTHO takes an innovative zipper-free approach. A patent-pending compression system featuring integrated straps allows the bag to expand by pulling on a rear expansion handle (which doubles as a luggage pass-through too).

The design expands from an EDC-friendly 18.5L to a travel-friendly 29L. And if you need to compress it again, simply pull the compression straps easily accessible on the front of the shoulder straps to make the bag more compact.

Keeping the work/life balance

So you’re heading to work. Then hitting the gym. Or you’re zipping off on a quick getaway with some tech, toiletries, and travel gear in tow. For a bag designed to be multifunctional, organization is key. To cater to different carry needs, the PYTHO backpack offers multiple compartments and pockets. The front compartment features waterproof storage (useful for wet or dirty gear, gym clothes, or liquids) and space for an optional detachable Dopp kit that secures easily through magnetic Fidlock attachments.

The main compartment features anti-theft YKK zippers and offers storage for your tech as well as whatever else you may need for work or a weekend away. The clamshell main compartment includes an interior soft-lined 17″ laptop sleeve secured with a Fidlock buckle strap, plus an additional sleeve for a tablet and smaller pockets for tech accessories.

You’ll also find a stowable divider separating the dedicated shoe compartment from the rest of the main compartment. The shoe compartment is accessible externally, while the interior divider creates a more rigid structure for easier packing instead of navigating around awkward shoe volumes. And if you don’t need it? Pack the divider flat to store the shoe compartment out of the way.

Externally you’ll find zippered pockets for securely storing quick-access items, as well as dual water bottle pockets.

Built for the long haul, the short haul, and everything in between

Of course, a bag that’s asked to embrace multiple environments and loads needs to be durable. So the PYTHO Backpack is built accordingly, with tough 1000D CORDURA, water-resistant YKK zippers, and quality Fidlock buckles. The padded back panel and padded shoulder straps help haul a variety of loads in comfort, with a removable sternum strap lending a helping hand too.

Complementing the burly build is a pared-back aesthetic that’s suitably understated for work settings and flying under the radar on your travels. Again, drawing on python inspiration to help you keep a low profile and move seamlessly between a variety of environments.
