It takes sixteen hours by air and four and a half hours by train to reach the town of Minokamo—a small, quiet place in the heart of Gifu Prefecture where time moves differently. This is the story of Futoshi and Hiroko Takeuchi, the husband-and-wife founders of rofmia, who left the noise of modern life to create something rare: backpacks made entirely by two pairs of hands, in a 100-year-old former kimono shop.
