Carry Collaborations

After four collaboration projects together, we’re revealing an all-new product family that explores uncharted territory. Shapeshifting from mountains to urban cityscapes and back again, these packs are built to be agile, durable, and ready for anything.
Introducing the EVERGOODS x Carryology Kludde Collection.

The History Book
Our partnership with EVERGOODS began in 2021 with the Phoenix collection, based on the Carry Award-winning CPL24 and CAP2 pouch. Phoenix Chapter 2 introduced the new CTB26 and CAP1. Next came Griffin, crafted from Halley Stevensons waxed cotton canvas with four products: CPL24, TD35, MHP3.5, and CAP2. Griffin II added the CB22, CTB26, and CAP1.

All previous collaborations focused strictly on urban EDC, travel, and around-town use—our core audience’s sweet spot. While these products can handle the outdoors, EVERGOODS’ Montana roots run deeper into specialized outdoor gear.
These collaborations celebrate favorite brands and products, but our past four projects only showcased select facets of EVERGOODS’ complete catalog. Known for “crossover” products that excel across scenarios, we wanted to explore their full DNA and design process. So we wiped the slate clean and forged a new vision for this fifth collaboration.
The Icon: MPL22
We didn’t search hard for our new icon. The Carry Awards XI “Best Outdoor Bag” winner and “Readers’ Choice Best Outdoor Bag” champion: the MOUNTAIN Panel Loader 22L (MPL22). This backpack hits every mark—EVERGOODS’ fastest, lightest, and most versatile trail pack. With comfortable suspension, incredible organization, perfect capacity, and their most svelte silhouette, it has become iconic.
And so the goal would be to take one of the world’s best mountain packs and upgrade it for urban and light travel use. A pack that transitions seamlessly between worlds.

Ultra Performance
We partnered with Challenge Sailcloth, diving into their ULTRA offerings. Made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers with literally the best strength-to-weight ratio on Earth, we selected ULTRA 200TX. This ultralight woven face fabric combines all ECOPAK benefits: increased strength via CrossPly, 70D protective backing, and 100% waterproof protection (50,000+mm) through lamination. The 200TX variant offers the perfect durability-to-weight ratio (4,400 test cycles, 200gsm).

For the interior, we chose TX70 ULTRA with polyester and UHMWPE CrossPly yarns—incredibly ultralight and ultra-durable. Frequently used as exterior fabric for ultralight hiking packs, it makes an amazing interior liner with exciting new pop colorways.

But we didn’t stop there. We designed in UHMWPE everything. UltraStretch exterior bottle pockets provide matching aesthetics, incredible hand-feel, and stretch to accommodate large bottles while dramatically improving durability over traditional stretch wovens.
All external zipper pulls use 100% ULTRA fiber for great pull strength with zero stretch, color-matched to each pack’s shell.
Even zipper counter-pullers use UHMWPE (10mm webbing, bartacked with ULTRA fiber tracers). Color-matched 25mm webbing and 50mm webbing use woven nylon with ULTRA fiber tracers.
And, of course, the key leash webbing features ULTRA fiber tracers.

EDC Evolution
Working with EVERGOODS founder Kevin, we identified key improvements to the legendary MPL22’s function.
We kept the upper front horizontal quick-access pocket but relocated the lower horizontal zipper pocket vertically, matching the familiar style of CPL24 and CTB26. This vertical zippered pocket includes familiar organization: two drop-in slots and one zippered pocket for EDC gear.

Our favorite addition? Hidden zippered stash pockets inside each water bottle pocket. Perfect for AirTags, cash, wallets, or whatever you need. Secret pockets deliver secret agent cool while remaining super functional.

Since the MPL22 has two exterior bottle pockets and our goal was EDC friendliness, we revamped the water bladder pocket, adding a fully suspended laptop drop pocket. Padded with thin, dense foam, it protects your laptop from bag contents. A woven stretch mesh pocket sits in front for additional gear like chargers or tablets. We kept the water bladder loop at the top, allowing simultaneous bladder and laptop/tablet use. The bladder has its own pocket, your tech has its own—no water against electronics.
Premium Components
Pairing with Ultra’s waterproof textile, we chose water-resistant zippers from YKK’s performance RC collection. PU-coated for smooth operation with subtle sheen, color-matched to bag exteriors, providing strong defense against the elements while maintaining accessibility.
The small details always matter. And so the EVERGOODS team worked tirelessly to color-match the custom aluminum anodized hardware for each bag, using a selection of black dark, silver, and light silver combinations to pair with our three colorways.

You’ll find these little pairings on the key leash hooks, zipper sliders and pullers, ranger buckles on sternum and hipbelt webbing, toggles on sternum strap webbing, tri-glides on hipbelt webbing, and tension ladder locks on the shoulder strap webbing.
Completing the Collection
If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know about “1.5 bag travel” and “inception packing” philosophies. And so, you guessed it, every backpack needs sidekicks.

CIVIC Access Sling 2L (CAS2)
Inspired by the Kludde’s shapeshifting form, we’ve evolved our around-town sling, CAS2, into a new state-of-the-art travel companion. It’s built in three colorways of ULTRA 200TX. And we enhanced its hardware with a new aluminum ranger buckle and paired it with weatherproof zippers and pure ULTRA fiber zipper pulls. Combined with a brand new Blue Flame or Electric Coral internal lining and the CAS2’s signature feature sets, the Kludde Edition is an advanced sling, ready for city demands or life on the road.

CIVIC Flat Pouch (CFP)
To advance this year’s collection, we needed a new form, inspired by modern textiles and the Kludde’s iconic speed. Meet CIVIC Flat Pouch, or CFP.
Deceptively simple but cleverly patterned, CFP is a dual-compartment flat pouch designed for small items on the go. Built out of TX70 ULTRA, a lightweight yet extremely durable performance textile, it lies flat when empty but increases in volume as you fill it. CFP has two compartments, one on each side, split by a floating divider. Available in two brand-new colorways, Blue Flame and Electric Coral.
Black, Gray, Blue Flame, and Coral

In a three-tiered collection, we’ve chosen a cross-section of colors to suit a number of scenarios and expressions: from under-the-radar Black Magic, to clean slate-sky Gravel Gray, and White Lightning with an electric coral peaking through for one serious show-stopper. All in Ultra 200TX.
And to pair, and create that almighty internal contrast pop, the liners are Blue Flame and Electric Coral in TX70 ULTRA with polyester and UHMWPE CrossPly yarns.

The Kludde
The Kludde: a menacing shapeshifter from Dutch folklore. Moving at immeasurable speeds, it shifts between animals, sometimes becoming invisible. This beast commonly appears as a wolf, occasionally with blue flame eyes.
We commissioned Paul Stoll, owner and founder of ODDJOB, to bring this vision to reality. Paul has created some of the wildest patches and bag accessories, quickly becoming a Carryology community favorite.

Paul captured the Kludde’s essence through brilliant execution. Each patch starts as aluminum plate, anodized and color-matched to bag hardware (black, dark silver, light silver). The Kludde design is laser-engraved into the coating, revealing raw aluminum. The eyes are cut completely through. Paul’s team hand-applies blue Velcro backing in ODDJOB’s San Francisco workshop. In natural light, blue flashes through the cut-out eyes, but backlight the Velcro and the eyes glow like the folklore’s fiery blue flames.

The Shapeshifter
A Carry Awards first-place winner, shapeshifted into an even more useful form with new features that seamlessly transition between mountain, travel, and everyday use. Complete with a fan-favorite sling for 1.5 bag travel and a brand-new accessory pouch. All crafted from Challenge Sailcloth’s ULTRA fabric with ULTRA trims and custom anodized hardware. The finishing touch: a laser-engraved aluminum patch designed and hand-assembled by ODDJOB.
