Week In Review ~ 13 July

Love your organization? Tired of having to carry gadget charging accessories? Need to be super stealthy when carrying top-secret information? Perhaps you’re after some eye-catching work/play carry or a handy daily carry piece that won’t break the budget. It’s all in our Week In Review…

Colorful carry with everyday functionality

Week In Review ~ 13 July

Keeping in line with BAGGU’s philosophy of making ‘simple, high quality bags in many bright colors’ their Knapsack favors functionality over flash. There’s an exterior front pocket and a separate padded section in the main compartment that can hold up to a 15-inch laptop. The velcro closure for the exterior pocket may not be to your liking and the top flap buckle certainly can’t compare with military-grade buckles but that’s not the point of this knapsack. It’s designed to hold up to your daily urban adventures, not to mention the bonus of the wallet-friendly pricetag – $64.

Leading the charge to reduce EDC

If you love your Apple gadgets, chances are you’re carrying around a charger or a cable connector on a frequent basis. Bluelounge’s Kii is designed to minimize your EDC by serving as a compact charger-connector for iPods, iPhones and iPads. It can be carried on a keychain (and resembles a key in appearance), with one end serving as a connector while the other end is a USB that inserts into your laptop to charge your device. Check out the video above for more information.

Hybrid carry for happy organizers

Week In Review ~ 13 July

If you’re a little bit obsessed with organization, William Joseph has produced some hybrid carry that might need to find its way into your carry collection. Their Exodus pack is a combination of a backpack and vest which can be separated via buckles if required. Additionally this pack incorporates an interesting closure system in the form of Zip-No closure technology which uses rare earth magnets instead of zippers for frequently accessed compartments.

Refined rawness for work or play

Week In Review ~ 13 July

xobruno’s Dumaine messenger bag has a rugged urban chic look to it that would accommodate work and play. This handmade messenger is made from distressed waxed leather with a raw edge and incorporates brass hardware. There’s a front zipped pocket, two back slip pockets and an interior sleeve pocket for a laptop (with three size options to suit 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch laptops). You can read a little bit of background info on the brand’s founder Michelle Kline here.

A cool bit of change to stealthy carry

Week In Review ~ 13 July

This is officially awesome. EDC carry for micro SD cards in the form of a coin. The MicroNickel is created from a real coin and opens via a metal ring that can be worn on your finger and which looks like a normal piece of jewellery. The perfect means of carrying super sensitive information – just make sure you don’t get it confused with your other coins!
