Third Annual Carry Awards :: Best Accessory Results
Laptop sleeves let you turn any bag into a computer bag, increasing versatility and flexibility. But your options in laptop sleeves have traditionally asked for a compromise between bulky and safe, or slim but exposed.
With the Tensaerlite, Incase try to find a middle ground, only putting the serious impact protection around the edges, where you’re most likely to need it. It keeps the sleeves slim, but saves you from disaster if you drop that flimsy hipster satchel you so want to use.
Incase have had to innovate across several fronts to achieve this range, combining moulded and laminated parts into a resolved and cohesive design. There are safer designs, and there are slimmer designs, but when it comes to balancing both with a discreet aesthetic, we think Incase have nailed it with their Tensaerlite range and congratulate them for their win.
These are the pieces that just missed out, and in most cases, by the smallest of margins. To them, we award a High Commendation. The below were of outstanding quality, displaying fine craftsmanship and design flair. With honour, we bow our heads in the upmost respect and kudos. If this were a dias, they’d be biting their teeth into silver medals, while their flags were hoisted into the horizon – a feat not to be overlooked. And I’m sure they’ll be back, to take it one notch higher, next year.

Considering how expensive cameras can be, you want to be sure your strap will safely hold your gear. However, you also want the flexibility to use your camera in different ways – after all, that perfect shot waits for no one so you need to be ready when it appears. The Peak Design Slide camera strap can be used as a neck strap, shoulder strap or sling depending on your preferences. One side is grippy for securing it in place and the strap webbing is padded for comfort. The Anchor Link™ quick-connectors enable the strap to be quickly attached or detached, while the aluminum quick-adjustors offer a tight or loose strap fit to suit different user needs. This is a thoughtful approach to camera carry, suitable for amateur and professional photographers alike. Great job, Peak Design!
