Ethical design meets everyday functionality
A bag that’s multifunctional, stylishly eye-catching and does some good in the world. Putting their focus on achieving these design goals, Ethnotek created the Premji Pack. Able to transition between work and play environments, the backpack features a front compartment with a choice of pockets for organizing smaller items, a top zip pocket for quick-access items, a side water bottle pocket and a side slip pocket. For larger tech, the 20-liter main compartment features a 15″ laptop pocket. The water-resistant 600 denier exterior fabric is constructed from recycled plastic bottles and is complemented by a handmade traditional textile panel. The pack is available with a choice of traditional textiles sourced from Ghana, Indonesia, Vietnam, India and Guatemala. The textiles are ethically sourced from artisan villages, helping to sustain traditional techniques of hand printing, weaving and embroidery. Check out the already successfully funded Premji Pack Kickstarter campaign for further details.
Hook a simpler way to enjoy fishing
Beautiful surroundings and the relaxing pastime of fishing…sounds like a great match. Except sometimes the gear can get a bit in the way. Topo Designs has teamed up with Tenkara Rod Co. to bring simplicity and easy fun to fishing. The Topo Designs x Tenkara Rod Co Kit includes a 10.5-foot moderate action Tenkara Rod, Tenkara line, a range of traditional Tenkara flies, a Leader Wallet for organizing the line and flies, and a limited edition Minimal Hip Pack that can be carried on the waist or shoulder for easy kit portability.
Small but mighty
GORUCK bags are known as some of the toughest around, but sometimes you want the tough with a little less bulk. The second generation of the 10-liter Bullet Ruck hits the mark, offering rugged durability in a streamlined and simpler form. Redesigned to better accommodate a 20 LB Ruck Plate, the pack is ideal for rucking or use as an active daypack. Constructed out of 1000D Cordura, the Bullet Ruck also holds a 3-liter hydration bladder, snacks, small EDC items, a jacket and other essentials for a day out. The design opens flat for easy packing and features three rows of exterior MOLLE webbing for attaching extra items as required. Discover more details here.

A decade in the bag business is something to celebrate, and BLCbrand are doing it in suitable style with the launch of their Classic Collection. Brownbreath’s luggage brand marks its 10th anniversary with a collection featuring their Urban Backpack, Definition Backpack and Nomad Travel Backpack in stealthy black. The Nomad Travel Backpack includes a choice of compartments for keeping travel gear tidy, including a clamshell-style compartment for easy packing. The Definition Backpack offers straps for attaching a skateboard, while the Urban Backpack’s range of pockets will appeal to users who love a multitude of organization options in their carry.
