Alpine Sea Co. Launch New Designs in X11

Our friends at Alpine Sea Co are known for their US-made goods in eco-friendly and unique materials. Now they’re back with Dimension Polyant’s X11 and noteworthy new products.

What’s X-Pac X11, you say?

It’s a natural cotton face combined with a x3 laminate construction. So it has a soft, cotton handfeel and look on the exterior but with that always-welcome waterproof performance added in.

Everything Bagpack 23L

The Bagpack has been a staple of Alpine Sea Co since their start two years ago, and now the Everything Bagpack is a natural evolution. Part tote, part backpack, this bag is the one that can do-it-all, and more. This is the upgrade to the original, with extra pockets and water bottle holders. My wife and I have been using this for a few weeks now and it has come everywhere with us. Thanks to its streamlined design it can perform an array of tasks without over complicating them. In our testing, we’ve used it as a lunch bag, a beach bag, a boat bag, and a nappy bag. It has excelled in all of them, all while looking understated and elegant.

The Everything Bagpack is a joy to use. At 23L, it holds its fair share of goodies without weighing you down. The shift from tote to shoulder carry is exceptionally easy with a pull of the straps, perfect for the days when you load it up heavy after a trip to the brewery.

While this isn’t a submersible bag, with its zippered YKK® Aquaguard closure, your contents are protected from all angles, whatever the weather.

Inside the main compartment you’ll find a small zippered floating pocket, perfect for your EDC. On the exterior you have a large front zippered pocket, and two open water bottle pockets. These comfortably hold 32oz bottles, and also work for tripods and umbrellas, etc.

Cooler Cube 8L

This will become your best friend. The Cooler Cube is a product we saw Alpine Sea Co protoyping when we first visited them, and we were very excited. Now in its full production state, it’s safe to say it’s a winner. At 8L this cooler is that perfect size for many of us, with enough room to keep you hydrated and fed for an afternoon or evening of relaxation. The cooler will keep your beverages and food chilled for up to 6 hours.

It holds 6 cans (12 or 16oz sizes) while having room for an ice-pack or snacks too. Often in our use, we’ll take four cans, and use the ice-pack as a divider with food on the other side.

The lid houses a zippered mesh pocket for your Koozies or cutlery, and the front of the cooler has a small zippered pocket for your bottle opener or trash bags.

The YKK® Aquaguard zipper stops any spill through on your travels, while the patterned carry handle and removable shoulder strap give you multiple carry options. The interior liner is 100% eco friendly and free of PFOS, PFOA, lead, dioxins, heavy metals and BPA’s, so you can be assured that whatever you put in there will only contain its own goodness without any extra surprises.

Pocket

The small and medium pockets are also available in X11! The pocket is the iconic item from Alpine Sea Co. It is constructed with two compartments: a larger main volume on the front of the bag and a hidden rear pocket too. The 3L volume is more than enough for EDC, with room for a wallet, keys, phone, Kindle, and even a smaller camera.

The weather-resistant properties mean it can handle any adventure, and the slim profile makes it great for wearing under a jacket, or even packing flat for use on the road. I’ve found this to be perfect for plane travel, with enough space to keep all of my essentials nearby, meaning I can leave my bag alone for the entire flight. With the X11, it gathers a nice patina, but also lends itself to a wider array of situations thanks to its paired back and classic look.
