Hard case luggage that’s easy to store, a duffle that takes organization cues from a suitcase, plus a daypack that looks chic in work and play settings. Discover more in our Week In Review…

The duffle that does more

Wool & Oak Duffle Suitcase

Duffles are great for grab-and-go travel, but access to all your gear can be a little restricted if you’re trying to avoid a rummage. Suitcases are awesome for easy packing and unpacking as well as keeping your gear organized, but they don’t offer the same freedom of movement that a duffle does. The folks behind Wool & Oak thought, hey, why not combine the benefits of both carry forms? So they did, resulting in the Duffle Suitcase. This duffle/suitcase hybrid features two removable walls and a host of pockets for organizing items. The walls snap and zip into place to form separate compartments in the bag, but can be taken out to suit different carry needs. With dedicated storage for the likes of a laptop, tech accessories, a tie, shoes, passport, valuables, key chain and more, your gear remains tidy and easily accessible during your travels. Plus the bag opens flat for easy packing and unpacking. In addition, exterior straps accommodate a newspaper or umbrella, as well as an optional toiletry kit. Suitable for use as a carry-on bag, the Duffle Suitcase is available in two options, full grain leather and canvas with leather detailing. Check out the Duffle Suitcase Kickstarter campaign here.

Hard case protection without the bulky storage

Néit Collapsible Hard Case Luggage

Travel is not kind to your gear, with the potential for bumps and scrapes round every corner (or baggage carousel). Hardsided luggage provides protection for your precious gear and peace of mind, but while it’s great when you’re on the go, its bulky form leaves a lot to be desired at home. Néit’s collapsible hard case luggage tackles the storage problem head-on, collapsing flat for easy storage when not in use, while providing the benefits of a hard shell during your travels. The luggage also includes a carabiner-inspired hand, allowing it to be hung up in a cupboard and kept out of the way. Constructed from polycarbonate with an aircraft grade aluminium frame, the luggage is available in check-in and carry-on sizes and includes spinner wheels for ease of movement. A further handy feature is optional GPS tracking via an iOS/Android travel app, which also provides additional benefits such as storing your boarding pass and allowing you to check the status of your flight. Alite Designs Forage to the Farm Bag

For others, it’s indulging the senses at the local farmers’ market, with its feast of colours, tastes and scents. However you forage, you need something to carry your haul home in. Enter the Alite Designs Forage to the Farm Bag. The newest addition to Alite’s Made in California Collection is contructed by hand in San Francisco using weatherproof wax canvas. Available in Grey Tan and Tan Green options, the bag offers 30 litres of space for your foodie finds, with a rolltop lid and adjustable buckle closure. It includes an interior zipped pocket for small items and can be alternately carried as a tote, shoulder bag or backpack to suit your needs.
