Your bag, your way
One bag to suit everyone? The perfect bag doesn’t exist. But your perfect bag could, if you go through a customized design process. The problem is that most brands don’t offer such a service, and if they do it can be pricey and time-consuming. The Leather Satchel Company wants to change this with their campaign to create a state-of-the-art online customization tool, allowing you to easily and affordably make that dream bag into a reality. Based in Liverpool, the Leather Satchel Company are the UK’s oldest satchel maker, with a history spanning almost half a century. Their Kickstarter campaign rewards include a host of stylish British-made carry including satchels, totes, backpacks, keyrings and shoulder bags, all of which can be fully customized to your specific needs.
Military-chic for today’s traveler
Inspired by the past; designed for modern-day use. The new Navy Salt and Pepper collection from Tanner Goods features a hard-wearing and eye-catching fabric reproduced according to original Swiss military specifications. The fabric, which is constructed with flax and nettle fibers and has a durable water-repellent coating, is showcased across the Wilderness Rucksack, Voyager Daypack, Everyday Tote, Nomad Duffle, Stowaway Boot Bag, Field Camera Bag and Drifter Dopp Kit. The 14oz Navy Salt and Pepper fabric is complemented by durable Cambara English Bridle leather and sturdy brass hardware, ensuring these pieces will go the distance while drawing appreciative looks at every turn.
Small in size, big on organization
Small EDC and travel items have a habit of doing a disappearing act, from being left behind during a trip, to getting lost in the recesses of your bag. The new Chums Accessory Case series keeps all your smaller bits and pieces in order, while also offering protection through durable and water-resistant materials so you’re ready for urban and outdoor environments alike. Included in the series is the low-profile Essentials case which doubles as a wallet and phone case, with a clip for keys and a padded fleece-lined sleeve for your phone. The Dopp Kit includes two interior pockets and a wide opening for easy access, while the Hex Roll-Up features three interior storage compartments and rolls up for compact storage. The Capsule case provides slim storage and hanging handles on either end, and for carry versatility the Downstream Rolltop Bag can be used as a shoulder bag or waist bag and includes a waterproof main compartment which is handy for water-based activities.
Don’t sweat the small things
Rock climbing can be grueling, and when the going gets tough you need to be able to rely on your gear. It’s easy to overlook, but the small and humble chalk bag is an important piece of kit that deserves attention – and that’s exactly what Taiwan-based HANCHOR have done. The SUPER Chalk Bag is the result of serious design scrutiny and the desire to create a bag that will help you get the most out of your climbing. The bag features a quick-access inbuilt chalk sock that can be easily filled, closed with one hand, and allows for even and efficient chalking up. Gripping the pompom located within the chalk sock boosts the amount of chalk released, plus the pompom can be removed to leave chalk marks on a climbing route. See the bag in action here.
