HÆRFEST :: Collection C

HÆRFEST have a killer new collection out with their Autumn/Winter 2012 range called Collection C. The minimalist feel of the name carries over into the pieces themselves, which is understandable seeing as they are influenced by the 1960s American Minimalist Movement.

The collection also boasts several new styles which we’re liking the look of. The C8 Briefcase for instance, which can carry a 15-inch laptop, includes HÆRFEST’s signature ring/stud detail on the handle and also features a shoulder strap.

The C9 Fold Over Clutch is suitable for transporting an iPad and it also has a handy zip pocket in the back.

Collection C also features the C10 Card Holder and the C11 Zip Wallet, which can be joined by sliding the card holder through a ring in the zip wallet. As fans of clever carry, we’re digging this modular design which offers the best of both worlds – the flexibility to carry just the card holder or wallet if required or alternatively a convenient means of carrying both, with the benefit of quick accessibility for cards and loose change.

The C12 Bifold Wallet offers a sleek all-in-one option for carrying bills, cards and coins (thanks to the coin pocket in the back of the wallet). Now we’re all about reducing the pocket bulge and this wallet seems to fit the bill pretty well. The coin pocket no doubt comes in handy for carrying a few necessary coins but keeps things compact, ruling out the possibility of carrying so much change that even piggy banks are impressed (Costanza wallet owners take note – this could be just the sort of wallet to help you take your first, liberating steps into a bulge-free carry world).

HÆRFEST really know how to work understated, versatile style. Just look at the pieces. It’s not hard to imagine them being used in boardrooms or in your local beach café. The fold over clutch or zip wallet wouldn’t look out of place in the hands of a student or a corporate high flyer. The pieces are clean but not boring. They don’t scream ‘look at me!’ because they don’t have to. Simply put, there’s a cool yet classic vibe about them, combined with quality materials and detailing – and you just can’t argue with that.
