5 Key Elements :: the ULTRAOLIVE Hollow-Dry Dual Pack

We caught up with ULTRAOLIVE to dig into the key elements that inspired and shaped the Hollow-Dry Dual Pack… 

1.     Today’s Creatives

ULTRAOLIVE was formed with the goal of making enhanced gear for modern urban needs. Our core group of designers, artists, musicians, photographers, architects, and other creative builders have a huge influence on how and what we create. Each person brings a unique view on what they look for and what they need in a product. When we are creating, we are inspired by our collective needs.  

2.     Durable and Dependable

Our biggest goal on the product side is to ensure that our goods are durable and dependable. While traveling we experience different environments, and our products must be built for each situation. We often use materials that will enhance the product such as water-resistant fabrics, high tenacity yarns, and lightweight components. We also work with established and trusted manufacturing partners such as YKK and CORDURA. Finally, we back all of our bags with a 10-year warranty to prove our dependability to our customers.

3.     Modern Needs

We place a huge importance on what is going on today and the needs of the creative builders. Some carry more traditional items like notebooks and drawing tools, while others use laptops, digital cameras or other electronics for their daily craft. Because of that, we aim to make goods that will always accommodate for certain essentials but still remain flexible for ever-changing items.

4.     City Conditions

A major design focus for us is to equip people for bouncing around the city. Most of our group is located in New York or Los Angeles, and the majority of our travel is to other metropolitan areas. While every city is different, many share similarities like less space, different forms of transportation and an overall quicker pace. We are often out all day and night without stopping home to switch gear. It’s important that our products can transition from a cafe, to a work space, and then to a show at night. Because of the changing weather conditions and city transportation methods, we have to take into consideration the protection, durability and weight when designing.

5.     Keep It Movin

At the end of the day, we want people to flourish and continuously push the boundaries of their craft. We hope that people will have their own unique vision and incorporate our pieces in a personal way to enhance their style. One of the worst things you can do is to hold someone back from growing. Our goal is to always encourage people to look ahead and move forward.
