The Fourth Annual Carry Awards :: Have Your Say!

It’s our favorite time of year again. That 30 day window where the world’s carry geeks converge upon Carryology to vote for the best carry on the planet. And today’s the day that you – our savvy enthusiasts and experts – get a say. We’d love to hear your opinion on what was truly innovative and awesome over 2015/2016.

Voting considerations

So how do you choose what to vote for? There are a few considerations that can help you decide whether a piece is a worthy contender. Is there some aspect of the piece that is really innovative? Does it display ‘fitness for purpose’? Does it merge both function and fashion into a harmonious whole? If you have a piece in mind and you’re nodding your head, spread the love by giving it your digital seal of approval.

Also try to focus on pieces from 2015/2016, but if there’s a particularly noteworthy piece from the past that’s gone under our radar and you feel deserves recognition, that’s fine too. After all, sometimes it takes a while for the good stuff to float to the top of the carry sea.

Please note that previous winners are out of the running. You can see last year’s winners here. We want to keep things fresh, highlighting new carry that deserves fanfare. Besides, if the same pieces kept winning, there’d be less incentive for brands to strive towards constantly improving their products.

If previous winners have been updated in a meaningful way (we’re looking for more than just a new colorway for instance here), then that puts them back in the running and you’re more than welcome to vote for them.

Unbiased recognition of a job well done

Our Carry Awards are an unbiased celebration of the cream of the industry. They are not influenced by any brand affiliation, and provide a level playing field for the big guys and the little guys alike to scoop well-deserved recognition for their efforts.
