The system is available from 26 September. See it in action here.
An updated carry beast takes flight
Direct Action have hatched a tough new member of the family with an updated version of one of their bestsellers. The Dragon Egg MKII Backpack can cater to a range of use settings, from military and hunting environments, to hiking and EDC. The redesigned side pockets are larger to better accommodate 1-liter Nalgene bottles, and now use elastic for expansion rather than the zipper in the previous version. The backpack includes two hydration bladder compartments, one of which can double as a laptop compartment for up to a 15″ laptop. The MKII also includes the Combat Vent System® for increased ventilation and user comfort.
Get the drop on vulnerable EDC
When you’re investing in expensive tech, adding protection can provide some much-needed peace of mind. If that expensive tech happens to be the new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, Dog & Bone has you (and them) covered. Their soon-to-be-released range of smartphone cases includes three options for both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Designed to provide protection while keeping bulk to a minimum, the range includes the Splash44 Case, the Wetsuit Case and the Wetsuit Impact Case. The Splash44 is splashproof with an IP44 rating, features a bumper and tempered glass screen, and provides drop and shock protection up to 6.6 feet. The Wetsuit Case has an IP68 rating for water and dirt protection and is waterproof up to 6.6 feet. The case includes patented direct touchscreen waterproof technology and also provides drop protection up to 6.6 feet. The Wetsuit Impact Case is waterproof and shockproof up to 6.6 feet and features a flexible glass screen protector with a 9H rating for superior protection against scratches.
An attractive option for making tangled cables history
The MACO magnetic cable organizer is a nifty way to keep cables under control. But not content to rest on their laurels, the creators are back with a new and improved version, plus its big brother. MACO 2.0 features a number of updates including a new water-repellent and dust-resistant material, and a longer design. MACO 2.0 also uses stronger magnets than the original, and the magnets are concealed within the elastomer rubber material. MACO 2.0 can serve as a wearable clip to keep cables out of the way, and can also be used to dock items on ferrous surfaces. While MACO 2.0 takes care of smaller cables, BIG MACO is ideal for larger cables and cords such as hairdryer cords, laptop cables, or guitar leads. BIG MACO’s design accommodates a range of cable sizes and is available in leather and elastomer rubber options. Check out the Kickstarter campaign for more details.
