Industry Insights | A giant in the bags world

Have you ever heard of VF Corp? Probably not, but we’re guessing you’ve used their products.

Industry Insights | A giant in the bags world

VF Corp owns brands such as Vans, Lee, Reef and Nautica. But where they really shine is in the bags world… Eagle Creek, Jansport, Eastpak, and The North Face are all part of the VF stable.

Have a close look at any bags from one of these brands, and you’ll see the similarities. To get a bit geeky with it, they all have top notch fabrics (even their basic polyester is woven from higher quality filament, more tightly woven, and with a more supple backing), they all have near flawless construction (straps often give a bags quality away… with VF brands you will see a high density foam, no loose material, and no puckering around the edges), and they all use great components (it’s easy to save money on zippers, and they don’t).

VF Corp work closely with their suppliers, have great control over fabric and component sourcing, and produce a very consistent product. In the bags world, this is not as normal as you would like to think.

So there you go, an insight in to why VF corp continue to sell gazzilions of bags around the world… because they’re good.

Have you used a VF bag?
