HAVEN'T RATED
Award Winner
It takes something pretty special to scoop our Best Specialist award - but this collaboration between Mountainsmith and renowned photographer Chris Burkard is just that. The Tanuck 40L Backpack forms part of the T.A.N. (Tough As Nails) Series, and is designed to serve as a versatile and hard-wearing pack for photography adventures. The weather-resistant and self-standing design features both top and front-loading access. Plus the removable top lid can be converted into a chest mount for even easier access to key gear. There's no shortage of organization to keep equipment tidy and easily accessible, including a variety of pockets, webbing and D-ring attachment points, along with dedicated storage for up to a 17" laptop. And for additional functionality, the pack is also compatible with hydration bladders for convenient hydration on the move.
the good
- Convenient access
- Useful organization
- Tough, weather-resistant and self-standing design
the not so good
- Quality costs and this pack isn't cheap, especially if combined with the T.A.N. Series Kit Cubes and Tanack 10 lumbar pack
