Week In Review ~ 8 September
Welcome to this Week In Review where we have a pretty varied selection of awesome happenings in the world of carry. We highlight some boss business style and some insight into Tanner Goods, bring our focus to a neat lens pack, provide an awesome cycling/surfing hack video and give you a peek inside the Timbuk2 offices.
Lanvin gets down to business
Week In Review ~ 8 September
When you think ‘businessman’ the first thing that springs to mind is probably ‘suit’ but we’re far more interested in the carry aspect of the business world than looking sharp in a suit. Nothing quite signifies business carry like a briefcase does and Lanvin’s Monsieur briefcase provides a modern take on this traditional symbol of the city man on a mission. In addition to the main compartment, this calfskin briefcase has a pocket on the lid as well as a detachable iPad holder and a passport holder. It’s not cheap but then can you really put a price on sophisticated style that declares in understated class that you’re the boss of the boardroom? Well apparently you can – €1,595.00 to be exact.

Surf’s up (plus the boards)

Next we hop from the boardroom to…well…the board. If you’re someone who lives on their bike whilst on land and on a board when in the water how about putting together your own surfboard bike rack? It might sound daunting at first but check out the video above which provides a handy step-by-step guide to assembling your own surfboard bike rack by hand. In terms of carry hacks, this is just awesome and then some.
Interview insights with Sam Huff (Tanner Goods)

Week In Review ~ 8 September

Hypebeast has a great interview with Sam Huff, the creative director of Tanner Goods. Tanner Goods is a leather goods company that produces a range of bags, belts, wallets and other accessories. If you’re already a fan of the brand or want to find out more, the interview provides a nice slice of insight.

A photographer’s pack that’s sure to be snapped up

Week In Review ~ 8 SeptemberKATA’s new Revolver-8 PL is an award-winning backpack that allows photographers to carry a variety of lenses whilst providing easy access when a lens change is needed. The pack can carry a DSLR with the lens attached, as well as a DSLR body and grip, five backup lenses and a 70-200 zoom lens. There is an internal revolving lens compartment so all the photographer needs to do is spin the compartment in order to access the required lens.

Timbuk2 gives us a tour

Week In Review ~ 8 September

There are many brands that share similarities with Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory – they produce amazing products but you’re not allowed anywhere near their headquarters, let alone actually inside them to find out how all the magic happens. Well Timbuk2 aren’t one of those brands. They kindly let Carryology have a scope around their offices and we’ve taken loads of photos which you can check out via our write-up of the visit.
