Carryology Concept Store: We’re Open!

Carryology was born from the desire to explore carry. Why we carry. How we carry. What we carry. And ultimately how to carry better. From its humble origins it has grown to become a true community of carry enthusiasts. A digital destination to discuss, examine and share all things carry. But we knew our dedicated community (and certainly ourselves) dreamed of something more. A physical space to carry the discussion forward. That space is now here.

We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that the Carryology Concept Store is officially open!

So where is this hallowed ground? Fitzroy, Melbourne. Specifically, a former discount warehouse at 417 Smith Street.

To honor the original space and salute Smith Street's industrial buildings, we've kept a lot of the original warehouse characteristics. Contrasts of wood and concrete, large open spaces, clean lines, everything stripped back to push carry to the fore. And with modular capability, we're going to keep the store fresh, change things up on the regular, building the 'test lab' environment we've always dreamed of.

Moreover, we want to challenge perceptions of carry. So unlike many retail spaces, we're putting carry front and center – the star of the show.

From across the globe we've gathered the world's leading carry brands under one roof. The kind of carry that causes cravings and covetousness. Over 500 products showcased across 200 square meters.

Now having great product is one thing, but you also have to know how and when to use it. So we recruited some bonafide carry ninjas (yep, they're real) and they're ready to share their expert knowledge and first-hand experience across a range of styles and pieces. Through some hardcore ninja trials we've ensured they're well trained to understand each customer's specific carry needs and hunt down the best solutions.

Our ninjas can help you navigate three key areas of carry terrain: Everyday, Travel and Outdoors. Each piece in our store falls within one of these areas, and has earned its place. Success on the innovation front, a tale of triumph from humble beginnings, a focus on ethical production...you'll find something special with all of them.

However, carry boutique is just one element of the store. It's also a carry community hub, a place to jam with fellow enthusiasts and experts on a variety of awesome in-store events such as brand insights with lead designers and how-to tutorials – which we'll be sure to stream and publish here, so everyone feels a part.
