Paul Graham – Kind of like Confucius for the Startup world

Paul Graham is only in his mid forties, but the guys sprouts wisdom like a grey bearded philosopher.

He seems to be one of those crew that has the self confidence to be humble. He knows that startups are fraught with failure, he knows that they can be done better, and so he is working and thinking his way to doing just that.

If you’re in to the whole business and startup thing and haven’t heard of Paul Graham before, you should give a few of his essays a go.

We’d recommend What Startups are really like, Relentlessly Resourceful, and the ambitious How to make wealth.

Despite several programming innovations of his own (including a great Bayesian spam filtering breakthrough), his most obvious contribution to our world is Y Combinator, a cross between a factory and a boot-camp for startups.

So while none of this has anything to do with carrying, it might well lead to the next great carrying startup. Besides, we liked that shot of the Aussie bodybuilder by the same name.
